Some architects call their work spaces “offices”, others – “laboratories”. The guys from ON-A do not just design. They probe how far the process of creating a building can go with the help of latest technologies. Aided by computers ON-A make buildings which look like sci-fi movie decors, but the architects claim they simply solve people’s everyday problems.

ON-A studio was established in Barcelona in 2005. At present its founding partners Eduardo Gutiérrez Munné and Enric Ruiz-Geli work with 10 more architects and designers.

Their experience as leading professionals in the field for the past eight years has steered them towards transport architecture and parametric modeling. To create their bold and striking projects ON-A utilize the latest of methods and digital tools, new materials and production technologies.

When they are into a project, they always take it as their one and only occupation. They devote their full attention to the client, respect the environment and consider the impact of the building on the overall urban texture. Among their best projects are the Drassanes Metrostation in Barcelona, the 5 Senses lounge bar in Empuriabrava, apartment buildings in Taipei and Sao Paulo, the shopping center in Reus?
