''Åbäke'' or Abake is an international art & design group known for an unusual and avant garde design within the fields of art, design, fashion, research and music.

The group was founded in 2000 by Patrick Lacey (Wales), Benjamin Reichen (France), Kajsa Ståhl (Sweden) and Maki Suzuki (France).

They all studied Communication art & design at the Royal College of Art.

They first worked together on their architectural magazine Sexymachinery which was initially produced at the college, as well as at the [[Architectural Association]].

After leaving the RCA they set up a studio in Hackney, east London.

One of their first long lasting collaborations was with the legendary fashion house Maison Martin Margiela.

Åbäke's work combines an interest in typography, representation and the social aspect of it.

The studio members were visiting lecturers at the Royal College of Art, London from 2004 to 2010, and are currently lecturing at Central Saint Martins College.
