Monica Khemsurov is a writer, editor, design consultant, curator and events producer, as well as a co-founder of online magazine SightUnseen.
For four years she worked as senior editor at I.D. magazine, where she traveled the world scouting the best furniture, products, and emerging design talent.
As a writer she has contributed for leading publications such as W Magazine, Details, Surface Magazine, New York Magazine, New York Times's magazine - T style.
Currently Monica is a freelance writer. She also devotes a major part of her time and efforts to SightUnseen.
SightUnseen is an online magazine that takes readers inside the worlds of design, art, fashion, food, photography, and other creative disciplines.
Its focus is on personal inspiration and the creative process. Through revealing interviews, first-person accounts, and behind-the-scenes documentation, it uncovers the stories, inspirations, and obsessions of people who love to make things.
Its team also includes writer/editor Jill Singer (I.D. The New York Times Style Magazine, V Magazine, W Magazine) and Thomas Porostocky - art director and graphic designer whose regular clients include The New York Times, IBM, Wired, HBO, Microsoft, and Esquire.
SightUnseen also curates exhibitions, produces events, and provides branding and copywriting services for a variety of forward-thinking clients such as USM, Matthias Ernstberger & Friends, The Ace Hotel, Lustr.
