The beginning of 2013 was marked by a wide public discussion about the new logo commissioned by the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism to present our country as a brand. Shortly after, in Internet appeared an alternative campaign organized by Nikolay Tonkoff, founder and creative director of the Berlin-based award-winning media and design agency Formschlag. The slogan Bulgaria Is Only One. Like. Bulgaria and the minimalist logo as a synthesis of a circular shape and a handwritten font, inaugurated an independent social project that went quickly viral. “From like to like, from share to share, from the real and authentic need and desire of all of us to return its dignity and put the beautiful and strong Bulgaria in its deserved place.”
